As a super-telephoto lens, it features a 4-stop Image Stabilizer with 3 modes to produce exceptional image quality in a durable design using titanium and magnesium alloy to keep the weight down. Canon has equipped the lens with a 4-stop Image Stabilizer, which has been designed to fit the specific focal length range of the lens. The feature can counteract image blur, which usually occurs during handheld shooting. There are 3 IS modes to choose that can fit all types of photography that require the use of panning.
Meanwhile, the Ring Ultrasonic Motor (USM) uses ultrasonic frequency vibrations to deliver extremely fast and almost silent autofocus. You can also use full time electronic manual focus.
The lens also uses SWC coating to enhance image quality even further. Ghosting and flare, which are caused by internal reflections, can be effectively minimized. It will subsequently help produce images that are more sharp and clear.
