On the digital M8 models, an equivalent focal length of 24mm is obtained, making the LEICA
Super-Elmar-M 18mm/f3.8 ASPH a lens with a high practical suitability for the digital M
photography.

On all analogue Leica M models, the new lense can be used with outstanding results, the
extremely short focal length of 18mm offers fascinating new possibilities in image composition.

Reportage scenes, landscapes and architectural photography are easily accomplished with the
LEICA Super-Elmar-M.

The initial aperture of 3.8 can be used unrestrictedly as contrast and detail rendering are already
