The much-anticipated D7000 is the successor to the very popular and well-regimented D90.
New key features include upgrades across the board. The D7000 has full 1080i high definition video, up from 720i on the D90. It also features a more rugged body featuring magnesium alloy top plate and upgraded power from a new battery (ENEL-15) The most notable upgrade in the D7000 has to be the all-new 16mp APS-C sensor. This new sensor not only provides a very nice bump up in resolution but also has some of the best low light and high ISO performance of any APS-C sensored camera. Add to that fast 6 fps continuous shooting capability (with a fast memory card). Additionally, the D7000 has a full menu of automatic and scene modes for the inexperienced user, making this a perfect camera for beginners. Nikon however, gives the experienced user full manual control as well as user customizable settings.
