Nikon TC-14E II 1.4X AF-S, AF-I Teleconverter

The Nikon TC-14E II 1.4x AF-S, AF-I Teleconverter has been specifically designed to meet the need of professional photographers. The advanced optical design with 5 elements in 5 groups is optimized for use with your FX and DX digital SLR cameras.

The teleconverter allows you to achieve the 1.4x optical conversion factor by increasing the focal length by 40%. The utilization of Nikon Integrated Coating helps enhance light transmission efficiency, while at the same time improving the color consistency. It also helps reduce flare and ghosting. Chromatic aberrations can also be reduced significantly.

The Nikon TC-14E II 1.4x AF-S, AF-I Teleconverter is an ideal lens when taking shots in low-light conditions, such as early in the morning. The teleconverter allows the use of wider apertures, which provides the photographer with faster shutter speeds to avoid motion blur.

The optical performance of the teleconverter is excellent. Even when shooting with wide aperture settings, it does not decrease the overall lens image quality. Images are sharp and have great contrast and color. The magnification that the teleconverter provides is also great, with images not experiencing any detectable degradation of quality.
