The lens features 11 elements in 10 groups, and one Extra-low Dispersion (ED) glass element to help eliminate chromatic aberrations - thus producing superior image quality with good contrast and high resolution. The lens is remarkably sharp right across the frame -- even wide open. It shows no significant lateral chromatic aberration or vignetting, and is near-perfectly corrected for distortion.
