SUMMARY

The 1.25" barrel Skyris 132M Monochrome CCD Eyepiece Camera from Celestron is a digital imaging system that allows you to capture 1280x960 resolution astronomical images in as fast as 0.0001 of a second. Using the Aptina AR0132AT Monochrome CMOS sensor and connecting to a computer via USB 3.0, images download at up to 200 frames per second. The camera is also backward compatible with USB 2.0, but download speeds will be slower. The fast download speed of USB 3.0 allows you to gather more images in less time. This is ideal if the weather and atmospheric conditions are fluctuating and you have limited time for imaging. An 1.25" nosepiece screws onto the camera to easily mount into focusers. It can also be attached to a camera adapter with C-threads, usually requiring a T-to-C adapter. Whether you're looking at the Moon, Mars, or the rings of Saturn, the SKYRIS 132M takes your view of the sky and makes it available for everyone to see.

The included iCap software for Windows lets you control the camera, snap pictures or create a movie, and export your files. A stacking program called RegiStax lets you set parameters and automatically filter the best images and stack them to create the perfect composite celestial picture.
