Brad Berger |
Brad is the Owner and President of Berger Bros. Camera, Video & Digital. He has been running the family business since he took over
the reigns in 1973. He prides himself in bringing Berger Bros. customer's the best selection of cameras and digital electronics.
Berger Bros. also plays a major role in the Amityville and
Syosset business communities giving back whenever the need arises.
Dedicated to the family business, he works almost 24/7, but always makes time for family on weekends.

Yvonne Berger |
Yvonne have been in the photography industry for over 15 years: working in retail, as a freelance photographer, graphic design and stock photographer (represented by Omni-Photo in NYC).
As a stock photographer she specializes in Products, Food, and Interior Design. Additionally, she owns a photo restoration and retouching business, which keeps her working with Photoshop everyday. She's taken courses at the "Center for Desktop Publishing" and continues to advance her Photoshop knowledge by regularly attending seminars throughout the year.
As a private tutoring in Photoshop CS3, Photoshop Elements 4.0 for MAC, and 5.0 for PC, she has been a member of the National Association of Photoshop Professionals for 6 years.
All her experience makes her a great Photoshop teacher for our in-store classes and also gives private lessons.

Dan |
Specializing in action Sports Photography,
Dan has been shooting professionally for over 15 years. Dan's portfolio
contains striking images ranging from Professional & Youth sports
to Top Fuel Dragsters and Military Fighter Jets. His passion for
action and sport is evident in the way he shoots. He wants the
viewer to feel the speed, power, and intensity of the moment.
Wildlife and underwater photography are also specialties, and the serenity
of the outdoors is always a welcome change. Dan frequently covers the NY sports
teams, including the Yankees, Mets, Giants, Islanders, Rangers, and NJ Devils for various publications.

Larry |
Larry has been involved with photography since 1970.
His first camera was a Minolta SRT101. Since then he
has owned almost every system including Olympus OM, Canon SLR, Minolta
Rz67, Leica M system, and the Nikon FS. Now he is loving his with Nikon Digital
Cameras (including: the D2H, D2X along with many flashes and accessories).
With 4 decades of experience, Larry has a wealth of knowledge in Photographic Technique,
Photoshop, Camcorders, and Binoculars.

Lisa |
Lisa is an award winning fine art photographer. As a nature lover her primary subjects are landscapes and nature. She specializes in black and white photography and develops and prints her images in the darkroom, using various formats such as: 35mm, 6x6, 6x7 and digital. She also freelances as a portrait and wedding photographer.
Working in our Mail Order and Internet Sales Department she sells all photographic equipment, underwater housings, digital cameras, video, and binoculars to both amateur and professional photographers.
She is also our contact person providing special pricing for all of our Corporate, Government and Institutional customers.

Brett |
Brett is one of the managers at our Amityville store. He has been in the retail business for 22 years. He has also been into photography for more than 17 years. Brett's
main area of expertise is Sports Optics such as Binoculars, Spotting Scopes, and Rifle Scopes. He is also our resident Telescope expert. He shoots with a Pentax
ist DSLR and loves Tamron lenses. You can see some of Brett's travel photography on display in our Amityville store.

Andrzej |
Andrzej is the manger of our Syosset store. Born in
Poland, he moved with his family to the United States in 1983. He has a
Masters Degree from Law School and International Trade
School. As a hobbyist photographer he enjoys photographing Ships and Planes, as well as family events and weddings. He speaks Polish, Russian, Checkoslovakian, and of course English.

Al was trained as a commercial photographer in 1968. Additionally, he was trained as a Military photographer in Education, Pathology, Crime Scenes, and Photomicroscopy. Shazar has more than 15 years of experience as a graphic designer and a photographer. His studies are in Visual Literacy and Contemporary Culture. "My photographic style is journalistic, with an emphasis on how people and their environments are mutually arising". He is a graduate student studying Philosophy, Mythology, and Comparative Arts.

Richard |
Richard's areas of expertise include: Digital
and 35mm Cameras, Medium and Large format equipment, camcorders,
Binoculars, and Telescopes. Richard has worked as a wedding photographer
for over 16 years using both film and digital formats. He's the
head of the Video Transfer Department and our Used Camera Department
- better known as the "antiquities department" As you
can see he is also very photogenic.

Ed |
Ed was a freelance photographer from the San Francisco Bay Area. Growing up in California gave Ed numerous opportunities to photograph landscapes in the Eastern Sierras, Yosemite and, the Mammoth Mountains. While attending the Academy of Art University, he trained with numerous Portrait and Wedding photographers. Studying portraiture, exposure, photoshop, studio lighting, location lighting, digital and darkroom printing Ed has gained a considerable amount of knowledge in the photographic world.
He now coordinates the classes for Berger Bros. as well as helping out on the sales floor.

Cheran |
As an employee of Berger Bros for 4 years, Cheran proudly commutes from Jamaica, Queens just to help our customers in need of that personalized support. She has been shooting all her life, but took it to another level three years ago when she stared her own company called Hidden Expressions. A Graduate of NYIT (New York Institute of technology) with her masters in multi-media production, Cheran is also a proud member of the New York Air National Guard.

Josephine |
My name is Josephine but everyone calls me JOJO. I've worked at Berger Bros for about three years now. I've been on both sides of the camera as a photographer and as a model. Some of my photography work includes those at weddings and private parties. I'm a graduate from Nassau Community College for Arts in Photography. At NCC I trained in Photojournalism, Studio Portraits, Monitor & Printer Calibration. I'm also involved with jewelry catalog production. These catalogs contain jewelry I design, repair, and/or bought for resale. I've also honed in on macro studio photography by creating my own line of picture greeting cards.

Janis |
Janis has been involved in both film and digital photography for many years. Her photographic work ranges from Corporate Events to Portraiture, with Industrial Electronic photography thrown in for good measure. She teaches Digital Photography for Berger Bros., and hopes to pass the enjoyment of photography on to her students while making it as easy and simple as possible.
Her interior design photography will be featured in the June 2008 issue of House Magazine.
Janis works at our Amitiville location Mondays when she teaches our Digital 101 Class.

Ken is the editor of our "Berger Bros. Camera Digital News" Newsletter and provides web operations support. His current claim to fame is a show of New York City street photographs at the OK Harris Gallery in Soho.

eBay account and assists in the day to day operations of the marketing / web development team. In addition to his retail responsibilities, he is also an event videographer / editor and plays rock 'n roll music in his spare time.
