General Return Policy
Merchandise will be accepted for exchange, credit or refund if unused and undamaged provided that:
- It is returned, accompanied by the original sales recipt. (This is your proof of purchase.)
- It is in the original carton, complete with all packagin material, accessories, manufacturer's instructions and warranty card (not filled out) if any, which are considered part of the merchandise. all contents must be new, the way you recieved them.
The original carton must not be defaced in any manner. DO NOT WRITE ON BOXES.
- The merchandise must be returned in the original Berger Bros. outer carton/packaging material.
This packaging is in addition to the manufacturers' packaging which is specified above.
- If the above conditions are not met, there will be a 15% restocking fee, if we choose to accept return.
- There are no refunds or exchanges on used or demo equipment, photo and video batteries, film, paper, chemicals, video tape, bulbs, software, televisons or underwater equipment, camera chargers, inks, digital memory cards, CD's, DVD's, educational tapes & books once opened, printers once ink is installed.
- Digital cameras and camcorders are subject to 15% restocking fee if set up, used, software is opened or if it has more than 100 shutter activations.
- Telescopes and spotting scopes are refundable ONLY if the seals are intact. When the seals are broken or tampered with, there will be a restocking fee of 15% of the purchased price of the telescope or spotting scope.
- Gift certificates and store credits are not refundable for cash, are non-transferable, will not be replaced if lost or stolen and expire 1 year from date issued.
- All refunds will be made by store check or charge card credit where applicable. there will be no cash refunds and no checks will be issued on weekends.
Merchandise will be accepted for refund, by a manager, within 7 days of date of purchase or date of delivery , which ever is later, provided that the above conditions are met.
Merchandise will be accepted for exchange or store credit only if returned 7-14 days after date of purchase provided that the above conditions are met.
There are no exchanges after the first exchange.
Internet / Mail Order Return Policy
- Refunds 14 days - exchanges 14-28 days. All above general policies also apply to mail order. You must call for a Return Authorization before returning any item. Packages will not be accepted unless this policy has been followed. As the customer, you are responsible to properly package, insure and obtain a shippers receipt for your records. Any returns shipped COD will be refused.
- Should a return be necessary, our customer service dept. will issue you a Return Authorization (RA) number.

- Original sales receipt must be included (this is your proof of purchase), please circle items being returned.
- Berger Bros. is not responsible for defective manufacturers' merchandise or freight charges for returning the defective equipment back to Berger Bros.
- Shipping & Handling are non-refundable. If your order originally went out as a free freight order and you return the item for a refund, our original cost to ship it to you will be deducted from the refund.
- Record your Return Authorization (RA) number # and person who gave you the RA#, then place on outer carton with original invoice.

- Special orders are not refundable or returnable. Deposits left on special orders are non-refundable an non-transferable.
- Deposits left on account over 30 days are non-refundable, non-transferable.
- Lay-away Plan available up to 60 days. Deposits non-refundable after 30 days. Lay-away merchandise must be picked up within 1 year or all deposits and payments will be forfeited.
- All shortages or damage must be reported within 3 business days and must save all original packaging and boxes.
- To enjoy the most efficient use of this item, carefully read the enclosed intructions, service information and warranty.
- All used equipment has a 90 day parts & labor warranty unless otherwise noted. Consigments sold on as is basis.
