Sony RM-DP7 Cinema Line Monitor Controller (7")

The Sony RM-DP7 Cinema Line Monitor Controller is a two-in-one monitoring and control solution for compatible Sony camera models. The large-screen monitor features a 7" 1920 x 1080 2000 cd/m² LCD touchscreen and 12G-SDI connectivity for professional workflows. Footage remains visible even in bright daylight conditions, and an intuitive control interface enables accurate monitoring. Wireless operation is unlocked by integrating a third-party video transmitter via HDMI input.

The DP7 features Sony's professional video color calibration technology for accurate reproduction that compensates for color temperature drifting during use. You can also apply LUTs like S-Log3 or up to 16 uploaded presets via SD card.

An included tactile control knob attaches to the side of the monitor to perform focus pulls with compatible Cinema Line cameras in both wired and wireless workflows. View footage on the Lens Control page. The knob itself features an ergonomic design for accurate control and is powered directly from the monitor.

• The focus indicator links with the control knob for precise focus pulling. Mark mechanical stop settings and focus points as needed.
• Use monitor touch focus or touch tracking with your compatible FX camera. Switch between manual and autofocus for greater flexibility.
• The Lens Control page lets you zoom in and out via button controls or touch operation with a compatible lens attached to your camera. Adjust zoom speed for smooth operation suited to your specific project.

Integrated buttons along the LCD in a BIG6 configuration offer fast access to a wide variety of settings, such as FPS, ISO, shutter, iris, look, and white balance. ITEM keys correspond to individual feature pages. The REC button toggles recording. ASSIGN buttons and a multifunction dial can be customized depending on your needs. Other features include a Time Counter and Audio Level Meter, which can be displayed on the monitor simultaneously.

Double-tap anywhere on the screen to zoom in up to 6x. Pinch to zoom and swipe to move the zoomed area. The Scopes page offers waveform, vectorscope, false color, and zebra displays for exposure metering. Additional functions like aspect marker, de-squeeze, and peaking support accurate framing and focus.

Wired control can be set up using the Ethernet or USB-C ports. Connect a third-party video transmitter unit to the DP7 via HDMI input to wirelessly connect to your camera and transmit video up to 4K.

The DP7 can be powered via a Sony BP-U type battery thanks to the plate on the back of the monitor, which also supports hot-swapping. The USB-C port can function as a power input using a compatible external power source. A DC input offers a third power option.

A rugged aluminum body ensures a lightweight and durable design. Four 1/4"-20 threads and four strap slots allow you to attach the included side handgrip and a separately available strap for one-handed operation. The housing has a heat-dissipating design with a built-in cooling fan. Selectable modes help ensure stable operation in a variety of environments.
