Saturday October 17th
We will begin this seminar at our Berger Bros. Camera Syosset
226 W. Jericho Turnpike, Syosset N.Y. 11791
10:30a-5p
Join Berger Brother's for this live seminar and hockey shoot with legendary sports photographer and New York State and U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame member Bruce Bennett! For more than 50 years, Bruce Bennett has recorded the history of hockey in still imagery, including games in 58 different NHL arenas, and seven Olympic Games. His career spans over 5,300 NHL games, 6,300 total games and includes 47 Stanley Cup presentation games. This seminar will cover the basics as well as the advanced techniques that Bruce has used through his many years as a professional hockey photographer.
This includes the use of strobes in the rafters of arenas, and the usage of a multitude of remote cameras including the 'netcam' or camera inside the hockey net. The talk will be punctuated with visible examples of the many techniques professionals use for capturing the sport along with a smattering of hockey related video presentations.
This is a reminder to bring your camera and a fast lens such as a 70-200 f/2.8 or a lens of similar range and focal length. Also bring your computer and a card reader as we will have you edit a few images
